I have been working as a practitioner in the field of integrated health and wholistic nutritional medicine for over 20 years. I use a synthesis of traditional wisdom from established health systems such as Ayrvedic and Chinese with the latest biochemical information available and a holistic naturopathic approach.

My central philosophy is that of all truly healing systems - that the body will always heal itself if the conditions are right, and I use whatever natural methods are appropriate to bring about this rebalancing. Many different techniques and therapies may be used at different stages in the treatment but diet is always a major factor and this will change depending on the person and their needs at that time.
Every one is an individual and nutritional needs vary from person to person and from time to time for each person. Even someone with similar symptoms will often receive completely different prescriptions as the cause of the symptoms will be different.

The simplest example of this is anaemia.
Three different people may appear to be deficient in iron, but one may truly be consuming insufficient in their diet, another may be lacking in zinc and therefore unable to make haemoglobin while the third may have poor digestion and be consuming plenty of both but not absorbing any . It is very important to determine the cause as just giving extra iron to the second and third cases will actually worsen their condition. This is done by a very thorough medical history and looking at different telltale signs on the body.

Like the ancient systems of health care, I believe there can be no separation between the physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and subtle energy levels of a person , and that disease in any one of these will affect the others. Consequently treatment on one level will help all the others, but treatment on several levels enhances and magnifies the healing effect dramatically. I therefore include work on all levels possible in my prescription, using my qualifications in all areas of fitness, nutrition, homotoxicolgy and energy medicine to create an integrated blend of recommendations for each person.

Apart from my practice I teach – students of nutritional medicine, practitioners who wish to expand their knowledge into related areas and small groups of children who wish to learn about non dogmatic nutrition.

I am also currently constantly involved in research on the affects of mobile phones, masts, wireless technology and the various ways of protecting ourselves from this.

I am a member of BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy).
